Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce are delighted to announce the winner of the Wiltshire New Business Competition 2010/2011 is Triple Helix Wargames of West Wilts Trading Estate, Westbury.

They jumped at the chance to enter the Wiltshire New Business Competition when approached by Westbury Chamber of Commerce in late January. Triple Helix Wargames soon submitted a business plan and presentation for consideration by a panel of local industry heads to be judged in the Westbury round of the competition.
Charlotte and Steve had to fight worthy opponents, but emerged victorious as a great example of the undercurrent of business acumen in the Westbury area.
Seventeen other towns in the county went through the same process to find their strongest new businesses. Each of the eighteen winners were awarded a cheque for £1000 from competition sponsors Wiltshire Council, these were announced in Regional Finals across Wiltshire.
The eighteen winners were then given the opportunity to perform a second presentation. This was in front of a larger panel of judges, one from each town (who could not vote for their own entry). Each finalist raised the standard and the final scores between the top three businesses were very tight.
Third place was awarded to Girls Love Fit of Salisbury, and second place to Vet Build Solutions of Wootton Bassett. The first prize awarded to Triple Helix Wargames included discount with Corsham Print, a Business Link Start-Up course, media awareness training from BBC Wiltshire, money towards advertising in the Wiltshire Times, Gazette & Herald and Salisbury Journal as well as a £2000 cheque.
