The Association works to promote members’ businesses, products and services, in a number of ways:
Member Privilege Discounts and New Business Opportunities:

Members can benefit directly from corporate discounts that the Wessex Association has been able to negotiate on their behalf. In many cases these are significantly greater than members can obtain individually.

In addition, Members can generate new business by offering discounts off their goods and services exclusively to fellow Chamber members.

Members can promote their businesses by a variety of means:

  • Features in the 'Wessex In Business' publication that appears monthly in The Wiltshire Times and The Gazette & Herald, which is read by over 120,000 readers.
  • Listings in the annual Trade & Business Directory.
  • Listings in the yearly Wessex Handbook.

Information:
The Association provides relevant local and regional information for businesses based in the Wessex area. In addition a mailing database of over 1,200 member businesses is available for purchase.

Members can obtain specialist business advice from selected fellow Association and Chamber members, on such topics as:
  • Free 30 minute Legal or Financial 'clinics'.
  • Letters of Credit assistance for exporters.
Lobbying and Representation:
The Association represents members' interests and those of the whole business community at local, regional and national levels. Issues that affect the running of businesses can be raised with the relevant authorities.
Training:
In order that our member businesses are able to comply with and maintain legislative requirements, the Association runs a programme of relevant courses that are affordable for even the smallest business.
