Lobbying and Representation
The Association has the responsibility to represent your interests and those of the whole business community at local, regional and national levels. The Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce respects the needs and aspirations of all sectors and, therefore, is uniquely qualified to lobby on your behalf.
Information
The Association is able to supply local and regional information relevant to your business and, through its contacts and networking, is able to provide business and trade opportunities.
Database
The Association has a business database with information on member businesses/companies that includes: size of company, products or services and company contacts. In addition, we hold details of other business support organisations within the region.
Letter of Credit Service
A service designed to provide new and experienced exporters with assistance on all aspects of the Letter of Credit system of payments.
Inter-trading - Site Visits
Associate member companies ‘open their doors’ to offer opportunities to develop contacts with other businesses within the district.
Inter-trading - Members Discount Card
This scheme is proving to be popular in increasing business opportunities and improving local inter-business trading. A list of participating members is published monthly.
Inter-trading - Meet the Buyer Day
Large companies need to know where products and services are available locally, and small to medium sized suppliers need to be able to take advantage of available contracts. The Association arranges appointments for interested members, thus enabling buying opportunities to be discussed.
Networking - Chamber Link Lunches
Monthly and bi-monthly business lunches with guest speakers are organised by the local Chambers of Commerce to establish business contacts, and to allow networking with other businesses within the local districts.
Networking - Social Events
Throughout the year, the Association runs various social functions to which all members are invited. These include Golf Days and the Annual Dinner Dance. These are great opportunities for all members to meet socially.

Wessex Business Breakfast
This popular event is hosted on the last Friday of the month in conjunction with various sponsors and high profile guest speakers.
Conference Organisation
The Association has extensive experience in planning and organising conferences and workshops and can assist member companies. In Trowbridge, the Association has an air-conditioned conference room that can be hired by the hour or day.

The Association is also a member of the Franco-British Chamber of Commerce.
Business Clinics
Through the network of the Chambers, the Association has enlisted the support of members who are prepared to offer their services for a limited period, free of charge. 30-minute ‘clinics’ can be arranged, offering advice or guidance from experienced professionals.
